Explore the endless possibilities of collage! Create collages by applying a variety of approaches to materials that have meaning to you, such as photographs, fabric scraps, letters, drawings, and decorative papers. Rita will also demonstrate a variety of mixed media techniques that are compatible with collage.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to try out a variety of adhesives and mediums. Handouts and birch wood panels will be provided. Please see the supply list for additional tools and materials to bring.
Materials to bring:
- A pair of scissors
- Materials to personalize your collage such as (but not limited to) decorative papers, photographs, fabric scraps, old books and letters, drawings, etc. (color copies/prints will work if you don’t want to cut up an original)
- Lineco White Neutral ph Adhesive (4 oz.)

Optional materials to bring:
- Paintbrushes (2-5) to use with adhesives, acrylic paints, and mediums
- Acrylic paints (at least 3 colors)-small size is fine
- Liquitex Gloss Fluid Medium and Varnish (4 oz.)
- Personal toiletries (shampoo, hairdryer, etc. — linens and towels are provided)
- Snacks
- Personal tools
- Notebook and pen/pencil
- Water bottle
- Layers for cool evenings
- Hiking shoes
- Raincoat
